Vacation for All

My readers who are moms (and even dads) know that when a family goes on vacation many of Mom's responsibilities continue in full force. Especially when you are enjoying an extended cottage holiday as we are, continuing to do much of your own cooking, the dishes don't stop and neither does the laundry. Sure, there are helping hands ready to do their part, but the ultimate responsibility for seeing that certain things are accomplished still rests with Mom, even as she conscripts people to help her.

But at Lance aux Epines cottages in Grenada . . . ah, Grenada . . . magical things seem to happen on a daily basis. The dishes get washed . . .

the dirty laundry goes away . . .

and clean clothes return (having been dried by air and sun, not a machine).

And guess who had nothing to do with any of these things taking place?

I could get used to this.

I definitely got used to that sort of service while I was in India. You know, you can always raise your standard of living by moving to a third-world country ;)

Ha, ha. He's right.

Top picture - rouge bars on the window! Wow!

Middle picture - mango tree on the left, and a norfolk pine (a houseplant here in the states!) on the right.

Third picture - I'm JEALOUS! I hate laundry folding!
