Happy Fifth Birthday--Observed

Not only did Lutherans around the world observe Reformation yesterday, but a little group of them in Chicagoland observed a certain five-year-old's upcoming birthday (both the birthday and Reformation are in actuality later this week). And where do Old Lutherans like to take their young for birthdays?

Chuck E. Cheese, of course!

Who knew that Chuck E was an Old Lutheran?

You are a brave, brave woman. My 6yo wanted to spend his 6th at CEC. We did, and survived, but I really, really loathe CEC, even if he is an old Lutheran. ;) Glad Evan had a good birthday though! :-)

Thanks for the birthday wishes, ladies!

Supermom, Evan got the idea of going to Chuck E's from commercials on TV. He had never been before. One of my nieces had a Chuck E party some years ago, and I remembered a bit about it, but I had forgotten about how loud the place is and about the big walking Chuck E that comes out during the parties. Evan was terrified! He didn't bargain for that. (Needless to say we told him he didn't have to get up and parade around and dance with Chuck E.)

Oh well, I guess no one should get through life without at least one Chuck E Cheese party.
