FOMS

My friend Susan recently posted about FOMS--fear of missing something. I am currently experiencing it in a huge way because although I have been back from vacation for several days, I have so far been unable to successfully resubscribe to my Lutheran homeschooling email group. And I miss them! So to any Loopers who are reading this, know that I'm trying to rejoin you, but so far to no avail. I have tried to sign on three times and have sent a note to the list administrator but have been greeted with a wall of silence, so I don't know if any of my mail is even getting through. If anyone would like to offer advice or help, I'm all ears!

We're waiting for the "vacation stink" to wear off before we let you back in.

(Kidding! I unsubbed for a few days earlier last week while I was in Wisconsin, and my resub took about a day to go thru - but it did go thru. Email me if you want me to post on-list for you.)

We're glad you are back! Hope the resub works soon - your "voice" has been missed! There are several new Loopers on now too - so you'll have to catch up with them.

Welcome back Cheryl. I have one question for you today - What has Colin Powell been smoking?

Maybe he got ahold of the nutmeg jam Cheryl had to leave behind in Grenada...

Welcome home!

I tried to subscribe to the ML group for over a month. Nothing worked, and the email I sent to the admin. did get a reply, but the explanation he asked for did not lead to results. I don't fault him, I know he's busy.
Anyway, I finally had a successful subscription when I opened up a free yahoo email for myself and used that instead of my earthlink email address. Hope that helps!

I hope you can get back on, I hardly get time to read these days, but I do skim!

BTW, an award or two is waiting for you at my place!

Wow, Pam, thanks! How very kind of you.

MM, I have no idea. I was listening to Rush yesterday and he says it's an entirely racial endorsement--that Powell has put his desire to support the black candidate over his conservative principles. I don't know if that's true. But I don't think the endorsement is going to help all that much. Powell is not known as a conservative apologist. And I'm not convinced that people who still have doubts about Obama at this point are going to be comforted by a single endorsement.

And EC, just so you know, we did get some nutmeg jam home. The jars that we packed in checked luggage made it--the ones that we accidentally tried to carry on board did not. Long story--maybe I'll tell it to you sometime.
