". . . little shall I grace my cause

In speaking for myself. Yet, by your gracious patience,

I will a round unvarnish'd tale deliver . . ."

More Laziness

This blogging thing is so interesting. It really has me hooked, so much so that every few days I have this irresistible urge to post--something, anything--like an itch that needs to be scratched. But considering that I have only gotten about 5-6 hours of sleep the last few nights in a row and that I might get 7 (woo-hoo!) if I go to bed now, I will say good night and leave you with yet another quiz. (Who writes these things, anyway? And how do they make a living?)

What Kind of Drink Are You?

You are a Fine Glass of Wine. You are sophisticated and refined, but also complicated and hard to deal with. Not everyone loves you, but those who do swear that you're the coolest thing since sliced bread. One of these days the people that matter will understand you. Until then, you will be sitting on your throne as the distinguished product that not everyone has the taste to appreciate.

It's an addiction, just like Loopers. Since we've already admitted we're easily addicted (the FOMS syndrome) and we often come out saying things like, "I'll give up anything just not Looper mail," it is more easily understood that once we begin blogging, we can't control ourselves there either.

That's okay, just start by saying, "Hi my name is Cheryl and I'm addicted to blogging."

"Hi Cheryl! Welcome to our club."

I've found that I get cranky if I don't blog (I've been really cranky lately, and yesterday, when I posted three times, I was almost in a euphoria), even if most of my posts were these quizzes and such!

I think you're the greatest thing since sliced bread, even if I'm not much into wine! :)

Glenda (fellow addict), you are no help at all! :-)

RBW, you are "spot on" about the crankiness. I have observed the same thing in myself. When I'm so busy I can't blog it's like this tension builds up and when I am finally able to post there's this feeling of relief.

Boy, we need help, don't we?

I think it is an introvert thing, personally. At least that is how I am going to rationalize it.

Introverts are not good at small talk, and don't get their socialization needs met through small-talk. But there are ideas bouncing around in there...a lot of ideas. In my case, usually stuff that doesn't find the kind of expression that I am looking for with my five year old or even in most church social groups. The only place where I often felt like this worked was in school -- tossing around intellectual ideas, observations about the world, etc. But blogging just allows what is on my mind to come out and it is nice to have something like that, especially that doesn't involve tuition costs!
