Célébrons l'Eternel (Praise to the Lord, the Almighty LSB 790)

O Merveilleux Amour (What Wondrous Love Is This LSB 543)

Jésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd'hui, et éternellement HEB 13:8 (This one is not in LSB. ☺But my husband loves it so much I have a feeling it's going to show up stateside one of these days. Maybe in a Chicago burb near you.)

Love the little one asleep across Mama's lap in the 3rd video. :)

This video was taken after a long, hot afternoon under that tin roof, during Evening Prayer (following the order for family/group devotions in the LCL, which corresponds to what we have in LSB). We were all exhausted. My shirt was drench with perspiration by the end of that day!

Yet, despite how the song started off with tired countenances, notice how the music lifts everyone's spirits. Despite our physical exaustion, people start to move, sit up, and energize. (My young friends Breige and Marlène obviously love this song as much as I and Jean-Pierre do).

Les Congolais really do love to sing. No wonder they make such good Lutherans!

One note: you may notice a couple of the older singers not singing on this track. This is because they came from a different parish than the one where this was written. So they were just learning the song as I was.

Look for this piece to be released in a couple of months in a Liturgy Solutions arrangement! :)

Merveilleux! What a wonderful word! And a beautiful hymn as well.
