It took a while for me to actually go get that coffee. I enjoyed watching the first 15 moves or so on MonRoi, until things really got settled down. As expected, Trevor wound up in a strong defensive position and it was time for white to mount his assault. When I left for Starbucks, I was encouraged by the fact that Trevor was actually up (+4 minutes) on time - unusual for him. He also had good body language. Yes, yes, I know, reading the body language of chess players is like reading tea leaves, but chess parents work with what we've got, you know?
Anyway, upon return, I viewed a devastating change on the board: somehow, while I was away, Trevor is in trouble. Aaron has successfully penetrated Trevor's defenses and is also now ahead on time. While it appears Trevor gained some advantage by exchanging a knight for a rook, this trade was actually forced by Aaron, who sees potential victory in sight. Black must now withstand an aggressive and potentially decisive attack in order to capitalize on the material advantage he now has.
