Two-Buck Chuck

Just came across this news item that one of our favorite brands of wine, Charles Shaw (revered in our house for both its quality and its bargain basement price), has stunned the wine-drinking world by winning first place in a prestigious California wine-tasting competition. You can read about it here.

Now I just have to figure out why we pay $2.99 for ours rather than the $1.99 quoted in the article!

Maybe I haven't tried the right variety, but I have not enjoyed the two buck chuck that I've had. I know one time it was a Merlot and I've since discovered that I just don't like Merlot. I'm not sure what the other bottle is.

Maybe you haven't tried the right bottle . . . or maybe we just have really pedestrian taste in wine! (We drink their Merlot and Cabernet.)

Oh, my taste in wine is pretty pedestrian. I mostly drink Shiraz from a box. :)
